What are the guidelines that Unacademy Educators should abide by to avoid any penalty?
At Unacademy, we strive to provide the best learning experience to Learners. To avoid any instances where learner experience is hampered, you must follow the below-mentioned guidelines:
Start the class on time or at least 15 minutes prior to the class start time.
Follow the Class Rescheduling Policy (reschedule a class at least 72 hours before the class start time).
Wear Unacademy’s Iconic Black T-Shirt/Jacket during Live Classes. Show the Unacademy Logo on your T-Shirt/Jacket to the camera at least once during a Live Class so that the system can detect it.
Complete class hours as per the schedule.
Do not share personal information/personal modes of communication in Plus and Special Classes.
Complete all classes (Plus/Free/YouTube classes) as per the schedule.
What are the penalty rules for Unacademy Educators?
All Educators are encouraged to deliver their best content to the Learners and maintain the Live Class decorum. In case of any occurrence that might hamper learner experience, the following penalties will be levied.
Penalty policy for any misconduct in a class
Deduction of 1% of the Educator’s Base Pay for every occurrence, like:
More than 7 minutes of delay in starting the class.
Postponing or rescheduling an already scheduled Plus Class between 24 to 72 hours of the Go-Live time (the penalty shall be subject to the terms mentioned in the Class Rescheduling policy, provided below).
Non-compliance in wearing Unacademy's Iconic Black T-Shirt'/Unacademy Jacket during Live Classes.
Missing a scheduled class.
Leaving a Live Class suddenly in between for more than 5 minutes, without specifying a genuine reason.
B. Penalty policy for rescheduling a class
In case an Educator reschedules any scheduled Plus Class within 24 hours of the Go-Live time, we will be deducting 2% of the Base Pay, for every such occurrence.
In case an Educator reschedules any scheduled Plus Class between 24 hours to 72 hours of the Go-Live time, we will be deducting 1% of the Base Pay, for every such occurrence.
C. Penalty policy for sharing personal Telegram channel details
If an Educator is found sharing their personal Telegram channel link or any other details during a Live Class (Subscription/Special/YouTube session), then the below-mentioned deductions will be levied:
1st instance: INR 25,000 along with a reminder from the respective Category Leader.
2nd instance: INR 50,000 and a notice of the breach.
3rd instance: Termination of the respective Educator Agreement and suspension of their account at the sole discretion of Unacademy.
D. Penalty for the misuse of Educator referral codes
If any Educator is found offering more than 10% off to Learners to increase his/her subscribers (or any other promotional messages, not in line with the promotions communicated by Unacademy), then the below-mentioned deductions will be levied:
1st instance: INR 25,000 along with a reminder from the Category Leader.
2nd instance: INR 25,000 along with a notice of the breach.
3rd instance: Termination of the respective Educator Agreement and suspension of their account at the sole discretion of Unacademy.
